Come to our first Entrepreneur’s Journal event and hear Spencer Thomason’s story about how he built his company, Clean Router. In the last 12 months, Clean Router won an Arizona Innovation Challenge grant from the Arizona Commerce Authority and also won the 2017 Venture Madness competition. During this session, Spencer will share his journey in building the company to success and what it takes to succeed in capital competitions without losing sight of your company vision and mission.
Spencer grew up in Spokane, WA as the 7th of 10 kids. He served his mission in South Carolina and then moved to Mesa, AZ to start school. Here he married his wife Karson, and they have 5 awesome kids. He graduated from ASU with a BS in Computer Science & Engineering.
He has worked as a Software Engineer for 18 years. He has worked for SRP, University of Phoenix, JDA Software, and Go Daddy before starting his own company – Clean Router. As the CEO and co-founder of Clean Router they have bootstrapped the company from nothing to now being trusted by over 10,000 families to keep their kids safe online.
Spencer is passionate about helping others achieve their goals. He is a “hacker” at heart and believes there isn’t anything you can’t break down and figure out.
