You don’t have to be a developer, but you should know enough about what is on your website to make educated decisions. Here are some things the small business owner should be able to understand:
- What attracts your target clients?
- What do you want them to do once they get there and how do you walk them through your information?
- What types of conversions make sense for your business?
- What’s important to Google to get the best results?
Since my first grammar school art class, it’s been obvious that I am a “creative.” Unlike a lot of creatives, though, I also really enjoy the analytical. Owning my own marketing business gives me the best of both worlds.
I oversee a talented team of people and have the uncanny ability to see a project from all sides. My experience in business and skill to create unique solutions for my clients also plays an important role in the strategy building, consulting and training services side of the business.
That is what I love about my company—we make beautiful websites, logos, business cards and other marketing pieces that don’t just look good, but are smartly designed to get results.
